Chemical Peels

Chemical peeling involves application of a chemical to exfoliate the top layers of the skin. Chemical peels can treat:

• Acne
• Pigmentation of the skin
• Melasma
• Blending skin tone
• Fine lines and wrinkles
• Rejuvenate the skin tone

Chemical peels are applied in the office by Dr. Albert or Toerge. You may experience some slight tingling during the peel and will be fine to return to your usual activites right after the procedure. Peeling of the skin usually begins 24 to 48 hours after the peel is applied. You must wear sunscreen to protect you skin after the chemical peel. For maximum results, chemical peels are done in a series, typically spaced 4-6 weeks apart. Dr. Albert and Dr. Toerge will work with you to decide the optimal peel for you skin.
